I began photographing theatre for The Welsh National Opera in 2005, and have built up my portfolio since by working with many of the major theatres across the UK with currently over 15 years of professional experience.
Generally most production photography happens at the dress rehearsal. When you book me, you are paying for my time spent photographing at your location and after carefully editing / shortlisting, I supply all images taken.
All images are uploaded to my website (can be passworded / hidden if you wish - please ask) and you are sent a download link. You are free to then use these images for archive, promotion & publicity in print or digital form for the venue, theatre company and/or production without having to seek permission each time*
All images can have a quick turnaround (i.e supplied the next day), but please let me know in advance.

Photographing rehearsals and capturing the script to stage process is one of my most favourite parts of my job. Whilst being aware of not interrupting or becoming a distraction, I focus on taking striking, performance-style imagery to record genuine emotions from actors as well as showing more candid human moments in the rehearsal room. If I'm also photographing your dress rehearsal, being present during your rehearsal process is also a great opportunity for me to get a feel of the show, understand key moments and get to know the cast and creative team.

A comfortable and relaxed session in my studio overlooking Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff. We can discuss what you need from your headshot beforehand and work towards tailoring it to your needs, but most importantly looking like you.
The session normally lasts around an hour and as part of the fee, I include two final images (in digital format). You are also welcome to purchase any others (or the entire session) afterwards if you so wish.

After the session I upload all your photographs to my website for you to view (can be passworded / hidden if you wish - please ask) and as soon as you have chosen your two free headshots I can either email them straight across to you or give you a password to download them directly.
I am always happy to provide you with my favourite choices if you need help choosing them.

All headshots session can be viewed within 5-7 days. If you need them sooner, this can be arranged but please let me know well in advance of the session.

Extras on top: To purchase other individual images from your session, I charge £10.00 each.
To purchase the whole session, I charge an additional £100.00. This normally is approx 75 or more different photographs (supplied in both colour and black and white).
